We may also send you marketing communications about SwimDeets features and updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time through your account settings or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

SMS Communications

If you choose to add a phone number to your account, you explicitly consent to receive SMS notifications about your swim meet activities. These may include:

• Heat sheet processing completion notifications
• Swim meet timeline alerts
• Event reminders and updates
• Account verification codes

Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by removing your phone number from your account settings or by replying STOP to any message. SMS is only available to Pro subscribers.

We use Twilio as our SMS service provider. Phone numbers are verified through SMS before activation to ensure we have your consent and that you own the number.

How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used solely to provide and improve SwimDeets services, including processing heat sheets, sending relevant notifications, and providing customer support. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

AI-Powered Features

For Pro subscribers, SwimDeets can generate personalized fueling and hydration guidance for your schedules using Google's Gemini AI. To do this, we send only your meet schedule details — such as event names, estimated race times, and the gaps between a swimmer's races — to Google. We do not send swimmer names or any personal or contact information; races are referenced only by anonymous identifiers.

The guidance produced is general information based on your schedule and is not medical, dietary, or professional nutrition advice. This feature is optional — it is only active for Pro subscribers, and you can turn off the Race Timeline page in your account settings.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate SwimDeets, including Firebase for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Twilio for SMS delivery, and Google (Gemini) for the optional AI fueling guidance available to Pro subscribers. These services have their own privacy policies and security measures.

Analytics

We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand which features are useful and improve the site. These analytics do not contain personal data and cannot be used to identify you.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. You can delete your account at any time, which will remove your personal information from our systems. Learn how to delete your account.
